But because all the applications are created around getting work done, they mostly reside in the future, instead of the past. In other words, they are created to be used by developers working with today's technology, but that is an environment created by developers for developers. I think we are missing a huge opportunity when we fail to create an environment that can be used by developers to be taken back in time to learn from the past, study what worked well, what didn't and what worked for millions of people. I am sure that any system which is built to offer a chance to study the past for design and improvement will have a wider impact than the apps we use today. It will make you smarter and I would love to be a part of it. But how can we do it? Is this a project for a programmer who can write code, but has no idea how a PC works, isn't interested in how people use computers and wants to be the smart one, who can write an app that is good enough and solves all the problems?
